This course is about how to stay grounded in your life
and career but still experience the magic and mystery that are usually the realm
of the mystics. It"s a seven week course that contains a series of lessons
about bringing spirituality into your career, and more importantly, bringing
your career into your spirituality. It builds on some of the basic
principles that were outlined in the essay on "meditation and career
success" on the web site at
www.zenentrepreneur.com.
Traditionally, if you wanted to be a
"mystic" you"d have to go off for a number of months at a time
and study with a master. While that worked when mysticism was something reserved
for the few, it doesn"t work well anymore. Today, it"s just not
practical to go and take six months off for most of us. Our careers, our jobs,
or our families are too much an integral part of our lives. Yet many of us yearn
to bring that element of mystery into our daily lives.
Some doubt whether it"s even possible to bring together the concepts of career
success and meditation. This is an issue that I"ve spent a considerable amount
of time investigating, and I"ve discovered that there isn"t an inherent conflict
between career success and living a meditative life - if you define career success the correct
way and can stay committed in the midst of our ever more complicated world. The results of
what I"ve found is "the path of the career warrior".
